The first question people ask is "How much is this going to cost me?"

This is always one of the first questions I'm asked when discussing a session. If you hire someone who is charging bargain basement prices, then you are going to get what you paid for. If you wish to trust uncle Jeff with his point and shoot, well then you will get what you get. If you are happy with this, then that's it. But, if you want more, if you want to be sure you will get keepsake images you will cherish for the rest of your life then you will want to hire a professional photographer. Photography, even in this digital age is still an art form - painting with light.

Time spent with myself or any other professional photographer during a session is only a small part of the process. There is so much more involved - experience, talented eye, equipment, time and talent spent on post processing of images. This applies to any session, a portrait of just one person to large groups, weddings or a simple head shot.

The equipment is also a large factor in pricing. Camera bodies, lenses, lighting, backdrops, and equipment used for post processing. All of this has to factored in to the price. After all you are not getting your next door neighbor to capture an important moment in your family's lives. You are hiring a professional, and you will reap the benefits from this in your images.
